The Role
Distributed seeks to appoint a Head of Marketing to build, drive and own the company's Marketing function, focusing on attracting & acquiring Talent and customers.
Reporting to the Chief Community Officer with influence across the executive team, the Head of Marketing is a key leadership position with frequent engagement with the executive team with input into company strategy and creative direction.
Core Responsibilities
- Create a predictable, repeatable customer and community acquisition strategy, understanding and optimising the funnel from inquiry to registration or contract
- Develop and execute successful demand generation programs and multi-channel strategies to drive qualified leads and build a lead database through data-driven experiments, content marketing, and account-based marketing strategies
- Build an industry-leading brand led by our visionary CEO, taking ownership of the business's reputation, PR, and communications
- Establish key marketing analytics, conversion rates, lead status, and funnel metrics to objectively demonstrate the return on marketing investment and where further investments would yield the greatest returns
- Own the creation and distribution of marketing content across the organisation, including messaging, sales content, events, and brand into our target talent pools and enterprise businesses
Skills & Experience Required
- 5+ years marketing leadership experience in a B2B technology/software environment
- 2+ years experience in a rapid-growth startup
- Proven track record of a data-driven approach to demonstrate marketing return on investment
- Demonstrated experience growing revenue at scale via performance marketing within a B2B technology or services company
- Has successfully built and executed cohesive, detailed brand and growth strategies across multiple channels, ultimately growing awareness, share of voice, message pull-through, and paying customers
